  • Permissions are used for local file access, notifications, and opening the in-app privacy page or Google Play links.

Information The App Accesses

AnyZip is an archive utility. To provide its features, it may access information that you choose or that Android provides locally:

  • Files, folders, archive contents, filenames, paths, sizes, and metadata needed to extract archives, create archives, preview contents, rename files, share files, and select output folders.
  • Archive passwords you enter for extracting protected archives or creating password-protected compressed files.
  • Local app preferences such as language, onboarding state, selected folders, and recent extract/compress history stored on your device.
  • Basic network state only when the app needs to check connectivity before opening web-based policy, rating, or Google Play links.

We do not operate a server that receives your selected files, archive contents, archive passwords, or extracted files.

Permissions

Android permissions are requested only when they support app functionality.

  • Storage and all files access:Used to browse local storage, select files, extract archives, write compressed files, choose folders, preview archive contents, and manage output files.
  • Notifications:Used for local operation status and completion notices, such as when an extraction or compression task finishes.
  • Internet and network state:Used for web-based pages or links such as the privacy policy, Google Play listing, feedback, or rating flows. Archive processing itself is performed locally.
  • Boot completed and alarm scheduling:Used for local notification scheduling and restoration after a device restart.

How Information Is Used

  • Extract and preview supported archive formats.
  • Create compressed files with selected format, folder, and password options.
  • Display local file categories, search results, and recent files.
  • Store local extract/compress history so you can reopen previous results.
  • Show local notifications for background task status.
  • Open Google Play, privacy, rating, and support links when you choose them.

Third-Party Services

This personal fork does not include advertising SDKs, in-app purchase or billing SDKs, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Cloud Messaging, or Remote Config. If you open Google Play or another external link from the app or this website, that external service may process information under its own privacy terms.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We do not share your selected files, archive contents, archive passwords, extracted files, or local history with us or third parties. Information may be shared only if you choose to share an output file using Android's share controls, open an external link, contact support, or if disclosure is required by law.

Security

Archive processing is performed on your device. You remain responsible for where you store extracted files and which apps you share them with. We recommend protecting sensitive archives with strong passwords and keeping your Android device updated.

Retention And Deletion

Files and archives remain on your device until you delete them. Local app preferences and history remain on your device until you clear them in the app where available, clear app storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app. Support emails are retained only as long as needed to respond and maintain records of the request.

Your Choices

  • You can choose which files and folders the app accesses.
  • You can delete created archives and extracted files from the app or a file manager.
  • You can clear app data or uninstall the app to remove local preferences and history.
  • You can manage storage, notification, and network-related permissions in Android settings.
